1/2 lb bacon
3 (8 ounce) envelopes French onion soup
2 cups long grain rice
3 cups water
1 large onion, chopped
Procedure: Cut bacon in fine strips and cook. Remove from heat as soon as is browned. Do not toast.
In same pan, cook onions.
Add onion soup.
Add bacon.
Add 2 C rice and then add water.
Cover and cook for 20 minutes (medium heat) until done.
